01 / Identity, token, data — 6 questions

Account & anonymity

I lost my access token. Can I recover my account?
No — and that's intentional. The token is generated in your browser at the time of payment; we only store its hash. No one, not even our support, can reconstruct it. Your servers remain active until expiry, but access to the dashboard is permanently lost. Treat this token like a private key: password manager, paper copy, offline backup.
Why don't you need my email address?
Because an email address is an identifier: it traces, it leaks, it allows correlation. Our console works by token: ordering, billing, renewal, and support all go through it. No address is requested, stored, or transmitted — so there's nothing to protect, and nothing to disclose.
Why is there no "forgot password" procedure?
A reset requires a recovery channel — email, SMS, security question: all identity links that destroy anonymity. We chose the opposite model: a single key, held by you alone. The risk of loss is the price of total absence of KYC. Possible workaround: create a second backup token from the console while you still have access.
What information exactly do you keep about me?
Three things, and nothing else: the hash of your token, the configuration of your services (IP, plan, jurisdiction), and the references of your payment transactions. No name, no email, no phone, no IP address stored beyond the 24 hours needed for anti-fraud protection. That's the exhaustive list — there is no other.
Do you keep logs — network, access, support?
No. No access logs on client consoles, no browsing history, no personally identifiable traffic metadata. The network only keeps anonymized technical aggregates (bandwidth, PPS) for capacity and anti-DDoS, purged within 24 hours. Support exchanges are kept for a maximum of 90 days, then deleted.
Do you have a warrant canary? Where can I check it?
Yes: signed and published quarterly since 2021 on the dedicated page. If it disappears or isn't renewed on time, consider that we have received an undisclosable legal constraint, and act accordingly. The page shows the signature verification method, step by step.
02 / Orders, invoices, crypto — 6 questions

Order & payment

Which cryptocurrencies do you accept?
Seven: BTC, XMR, ETH, USDT (TRC20 and ERC20), LTC, SOL, and TRX. XMR is recommended for maximum opacity; USDT-TRC20 for reduced fees. No fiat, no bank cards, no online wallets — and that won't change: crypto-only is structural, not commercial.
What is the difference between Paymento payment and on-chain payment?
Paymento generates an invoice in 15 seconds — address, exact amount, QR code — with a rate fixed at the moment of payment: it is the simplest path. Direct on-chain payment assigns a dedicated address per order, with no intermediary of any kind. Both trigger the same automatic delivery; only the path differs. Neither option asks who you are.
How long between payment and delivery?
Provisioning starts at the first network confirmation — one for BTC, near-instant for XMR or USDT-TRC20. The median time observed in Q2 2026 is 47 seconds between confirmation and receipt of the IP and credentials. If the network is congested, it's the blockchain that slows down — not our pipeline.
Can I get an invoice?
Yes: each payment generates a dated, numbered invoice denominated in USD, downloadable from the console. It carries no identity — your client reference is the transaction hash. It's enough to justify an expense, without saying who you are.
Is renewal automatic? Are there annual discounts?
Nothing is charged without action: we store no payment method, so nothing can be. A reminder appears in the console 7 days before the due date, followed by a 72 h grace period. Three formulas: monthly at the base rate, 6-month commitment at -30 %, 12-month commitment at -50 % — it is the monthly equivalent that decreases, across all VPS and RDP ranges. On top of that comes the NOREPLY code: 1 month purchased = 1 month free, applicable to any subscription and renewable — but explicitly not combinable with commitment discounts.
Do you offer a refund?
Yes: full refund within 72 hours of your first order, no justification required, to the original crypto address. After that period, the refund is calculated pro rata, subject to compliance with the AUP. Renewals are refundable pro rata within their first 7 days. Full details are on the Refund page.
03 / Network, system, capacity — 8 questions

Network & technical

Is it real KVM or a container?
100% KVM, on AMD EPYC with NVMe Gen4 in software RAID. No overselling: vCPUs are dedicated, RAM is not ballooned, the disk is yours. Full root from the first second, kernel modules of your choice, custom ISO. You can break everything — it's your machine.
Which distributions can I install?
Ubuntu 22.04/24.04, Debian 11/12, Rocky Linux 9, AlmaLinux 9, Alpine, and Arch in one-click — or any ISO via custom mounting, Windows included. Reinstalls are unlimited from the console, and an emergency console (KVM over IP) remains accessible even if your network or SSH is broken.
Can I change plans afterwards?
Yes: upgrades are done hot from the console, the difference is calculated pro rata, and the switch to the new machine takes 5 to 15 minutes with snapshot included. Downgrades are possible at the end of the cycle, not mid-month — a started cycle is a billed cycle.
Is IPv6 included? And additional IPv4s?
Each VPS includes one IPv4. A /64 IPv6 is assigned free of charge upon simple request to support, and a second dedicated IPv4 is available at $2/month. Addresses are clean: our ranges are monitored against blocklists, and a listed IP is replaced free of charge.
Can I configure my reverse DNS (PTR)?
Yes, self-service from the console: the PTR field is editable per IP and propagated to resolvers within 2 to 4 hours. A consistent PTR is essential for a credible mail server — that's precisely the subject of the next question.
Is port 25 open?
Closed by default on all machines, to curb outgoing spam at the root. It is unlocked free of charge via ticket after verification of your usage: valid PTR, no unsolicited mailing list, AUP respected. Median observed delay: 3 hours. Ports 465 and 587 work without restriction to your relays.
How does your anti-DDoS protection work?
Permanent filtering upstream of our routers covers layers 3 to 7: volumetric absorption up to 2 Tbit/s per site, mitigation of SYN/UDP floods, filtering of HTTP patterns. It is included, at no extra cost, on all ranges. Q2 2026 results: 41 attacks mitigated, no interruption longer than 4 minutes, median latency overhead of 0.4 ms.
What latencies can I expect from my country?
Median RTTs measured by our public probes: Netherlands ↔ Western Europe 8–18 ms; Romania ↔ Eastern Europe 20–35 ms; Iceland 35–50 ms; Switzerland 10–20 ms; Panama 80–120 ms from Europe, 15–30 ms from the US East Coast; Moscow 30–55 ms from Europe. Don't take our word for it: the looking glass on the Network page measures from your own connection.
04 / DMCA, AUP, jurisdictions — 8 questions

Legal & DMCA

What does “DMCA ignored” mean, concretely?
The DMCA is an American law: its notices have no legal value in our jurisdictions. Our filters nonetheless receive thousands of them, issued by bots: they are dismissed and publicly accounted for. Only a decision handed down by a local jurisdiction and transmitted through official channels counts. In 2025: 1,847 DMCA notices received, 0 suspensions on that sole basis.
What happens if you receive a judicial request?
We forward it to our local counsel and comply with the decisions of the hosting country's court — that's the law, and we won't circumvent it. What we cannot hand over, however, is what we don't possess: no identity, no logs, no correspondence. A request can only yield three things: a token fingerprint, a crypto payment reference, the technical configuration of the service. Our warrant canary tracks its quarterly evolution.
What exactly does the AUP prohibit?
Our acceptable use policy fits on one page: phishing and impersonation, malware and command infrastructure, spam, child sexual abuse material, fraud and carding. These uses result in suspension within the hour, without refund, and reporting to the relevant authorities where applicable. This restricted scope is precisely what allows us to maintain our jurisdictions over the long term.
Is copyright treated differently from the DMCA?
Yes. The DMCA is an American mechanism that our jurisdictions ignore as a matter of legal competence. Local copyright, on the other hand, applies everywhere: documented commercial counterfeiting, brought by the rights holder before a local judge, is treated with the seriousness it deserves. Our position is not “anything goes” — it is “American takedown bots do not decide in your place”.
How to choose the jurisdiction suited to my case?
By the main threat: American copyright pressure → Romania; freedom of expression → Iceland; no data retention → Panama; maximum privacy standard → Switzerland; connectivity and peering → Netherlands; outside US/EU scope → Russia. The Locations page details each legal framework, and migration from one zone to another is free if your analysis evolves.
Can my data be physically seized?
A server located in a country falls under that country: a local search is legally possible everywhere, including Switzerland or Iceland. What our jurisdictions reduce is the ease and scope: lengthy procedures, real protections, and with us, very little data to hand over. Disk encryption — available via custom ISO — remains your best guarantee.
Why Panama?
Because it has been our anchor jurisdiction since 2021: Panama imposes no data retention law forcing a host to keep its customers' logs, and it sits outside American and European jurisdictions — a DMCA notice has no legal force there. Any international mutual-assistance request follows formal channels: long, documented and adversarial. An honest nuance: Panamanian law fully applies, and we comply with it — no one is above the laws of their anchor country.
Does VPSPLEX have offices in Europe or the United States?
No. Everything is operated from Panama City — management, support, systems and the Tier III+ datacenter. What we hold in Europe and elsewhere is exclusively a network presence: servers, peering, our own ASes. No offices, no subsidiaries, no entity incorporated in the United States or the European Union. Practical consequence: a US/EU judicial constraint reaches us only through international mutual assistance, never directly.
05 / VPS, RDP, GPU, domains — 6 questions

Services

What's the difference between a VPS and an RDP offer?
The Linux VPS is a bare machine: full root, you manage everything. The RDP offer is a Windows Server already installed, activated, and updated, optimized for remote graphical administration — designed for those who want a Windows desktop without administering the system. RDP starts at $9.99/month and its Windows license is included; on a VPS, it's extra.
Is the Windows license included on VPS?
Not included, but addable at +$7/month at deployment or later: activation, updates, and basic hardening are then handled by our template. You can also bring your own license via custom ISO — it's your server, your rules.
What is the real availability of RTX 4090 GPUs?
Stock oscillates between 6 and 12 cards depending on the month, starting at $119/month for the base configuration (RTX 4090 24 GB, 8 vCPU, 64 GB RAM). When a site is full, the console offers a queue with visible position: the median observed delay is 6 days. No price gouging, no "to be confirmed" allocation.
Can I buy a domain anonymously?
Yes, with the same rules as VPS: no KYC, crypto payment, token-based account. 26 extensions offered, free WHOIS privacy enabled by default, .com at $5.99/year. Registration data is what you choose: we don't verify it and don't transmit it.
Do you help migrate from my old host?
Yes, via two paths. Self-service first: our step-by-step guides — rsync, database dumps, DNS switch — cover 90% of cases. Then migration assistance via ticket, free for one to three servers: a technician verifies the copy and boot before the switch. You encrypt, you transport, you control.
Can I rent additional IPs or a full subnet?
Up to 4 additional IPv4 per VPS, at $2/month each, with a network usage justification compliant with our anti-abuse policy. Full /24s and clean BGP announcements are possible on VPS-4 Abyss and special offers: open a ticket with your AS number, or announce via ours.
06 / 24/7 Support, incidents — 6 questions

Support & incidents

What response time can I expect from support?
Median measured over July 2026: 22 minutes, all queues combined, 24/7. P1 priorities — server unreachable — are handled in under 15 minutes, with a status update every 30 minutes. Support is human: network and system profiles, not a chatbot.
Where to track network status in real time?
On the Status page: health per site and per service, continuous public history since 2022, latency probes every 30 seconds. We don't erase past incidents — good days and bad days remain readable. Q2 2026 uptime: 99.98%.
Do you publish postmortems after incidents?
Yes, for any incident exceeding 30 minutes of impact: timeline, root cause, actions taken, lessons learned. Most recent example — on June 14, 2026, network degradation in Bucharest (packet loss for 38 minutes): abnormal routing at a transit operator, workaround activated, postmortem published the next morning. The seven most recent are on the Status page.
How do I report abuse originating from your IPs?
Via the form on the Contact page or a ticket from any console: IP address concerned, timestamp, supporting logs. Our abuse team handles verifiable reports within the hour, 24/7. False reports are archived and counted. The policy is public: phishing, malware, spam, child exploitation content — immediate suspension, in accordance with the AUP.
Can I interact with support without revealing who I am?
That's how it normally works. Your support identity is your token or a pseudonym of your choice; we never ask for anything else. For sensitive topics, an encrypted channel is available from the Contact page. And what you tell support is not cross-referenced with anything — there is nothing to cross-reference it with.
My server is unresponsive: what are the right reflexes?
Three steps, in order. One: check the Status page — an ongoing incident is published there within 5 minutes. Two: try the emergency console from your dashboard; if it shows a shell, the problem is network or configuration, not the machine. Three: soft reboot, then ticket with priority P1. All hardware reboots are logged and visible in the console.
